* Crayon Memory Box & Tags

I had so much fun today making this crayon box accordian book. There is a page for each year Pre-K-6th. One side is for the "traditional school photo," The other side has a pocket with a mini file folder (I made it to fit the mini envelope). The child can write his/name sample on the mini file folder each year. On the back of the file folder journaling might include friends, favorite subjects, favorites, etc. On the front of the envelope there is room to write the school attended and the teacher's name. It all is attached inside an empty BIG size 8 crayon box that the top lifts off of. I modge podged the outside of the box to help it last longer. I added a ribbon through the bottom of the box just to keep it closed. To the ribbon I attached a homemade tag where the child's name could be printed. Everything fits nicely together! My two oldest "grandbabies" start Kindergarten this fall. Guess I best get busy making a 2nd one! TFL

* Teacher Caroll

I made this for a teacher friend of mine, who passed away over the Christmas Break. Made it for her family. All the children in the school drew pictures and wrote letters and put them in the box. Also, she had a special horse pillow that she kept behind her back as she sat, the pillow fit inside the box too. We also put her coffee mugs in the box. I also made a "round book" with lots of pages. Each teacher in the school scrapped one of the pages. The apple on the top of the box was the apple she had hanging from her door. On one side of the box I used 3 inch chip board letters to spell out TEACHER, and on the other side FRIEND. I miss you Carroll. TFL
